This what those sketches were for. I'm taking part in a fun little exhibition where the artists involved are given a classified ad from the local paper and are asked to work their magic. The only rule is to use all the text from the original ad. This is mine.

Not finished yet, but not sure what I'm going to add...something of interest down by his left, feels like there should be something in that space. I'm so rubbish at composition, creating something like this is very exploratory for me, I just go with a core image and feeling, then let it develop as it's refined. I never planned an object to be next to him, but now I'm convinced something should be there, like a tool or a weird crystalline based plant...or whatever. Not set on the position of the text or the titular hero himself yet either.

Now it's finished, I hope.

Gah, finished this finally. Pencil and photoshop. Totally reffed, obv. Used a composited and edited photo for the brick work as well, no time and no point painting that manually.
